DAY OF- FIRST RINSE
-
• plan accordingly, rapid tans need to be rinsed in 2-4 hours. if you do not rinse at your designated time, your tan may develop lighter or darker than expectedrecommended rinse times :
2-2.5 hours • light/medium
3 hours • medium
3.5-4 hours • medium/dark
• rinse in lukewarm water, remove the solution off your skin with your hands and water only, until you see the bronzers run clear• pat dry, do not rub. you will not see much visible color - this is normal.
a rapid rinse does not mean rapid development - the tan takes a full 12-24 hours to develop
• do not apply any product to the skin until the following day. that includes moisturizer, deodorant and perfume -
• plan accordingly, be prepared to stay completely dry for a minimum of eight hours post sprayif you do remain in the tan longer than eight hours due to your schedule - the tan will not get darker than the shade requested. there is no added benefit to remaining in the tan longer than eight hours.
• the first shower after a standard tan is a real shower. you may cleanse your entire body with soap, shampoo/condition your hair and apply moisturizer to your body
DAILY MAINTENANCE
-
• lukewarm water showers - cleanse with your hands only and pat skin dry with a towel to ensure even fade• moisturize morning and night. the better hydrated your skin is the longer your tan will last and the better it will look ( no alligator skin )
• tan extending lotions that contain DHA may be applied after day four of your tan
VACATION GUIDLINES - to protect and prolong color• rinse chlorine and salt water from the skin when you get out of the water
• apply mineral based sunscreens ( zinc and titanium dioxide ) spray tans do not provide any sun/uv protection. you will burn or tan naturally depending on your skin type
-
• long hot showers/baths, hot tubs and saunas. you will shorten the life of the tan• no loofas or wash cloths. cleanse with your hands when showering otherwise the tan may fade and become uneven
understand if you apply retinoids or acne/exfoliating products to your face or body the tan may become uneven, blotchy and fade quicker than expected
