  • please note BRONZED ARTISAN is by appointment only and online booking is the primary method to schedule an appointment, available 24/7 linked here

    the entire process will take fifteen minutes or less. you will be guided through the process to decide your shade - skin history, natural complexion and purpose for the tan will be considered when selecting shade.

    last minute appointments may be posted on instagram when available

    • discontinue self tanning products. it is necessary to remove all self tan residue for even results
      YOUR NEW TAN WILL NOT DEVELOP EVENLY OVER LAST WEEKS SPRAY

    • exfoliate your entire body with an exfoliating mitt

    • keep your skin hydrated, moisturize daily!

    • schedule accordingly. manicure and pedicures, wax appointments, facials, lash/brow and massage appointments need to be completed before your tan

  • one to three days prior to a planned trip or special event. with proper prep and post care expect your tan to last for seven to ten days.

    • spray tans do not provide any sun/uv protection - you will burn or tan naturally (depending on your skin)


  • your spray should be the very last step in your beauty routine !

    massages, waxing and facial appointments need to be completed prior to your tan.

    manicure and pedicures need to be completed prior to your tan - if not request a polish change only.

    no lash services on the day of your tan.

    all of these services have their own products that are utilized throughout the services that when used too close to your spray appointment can create a barrier between your skin and the DHA (active ingredient in spray tan) or when utilized after the service can discolor or strip the tan


  • DURING -

    • feel comfortable to wear as little or as much as you prefer during the tan
    bikini, bra, thong, naked - keep tan lines in mind before we begin!

    disposable thongs are available if preferred
    for men, please wear underwear or some form of covering

    • existing tan lines will be blended out to soften the contrast and create an even tan

    • solution will be wiped from your nails and will not stain or ruin your manicure and pedicure

    AFTER -

    • dark and loose fitting clothing is necessary to change into post spray. NO bra, leggings or tight closed toe shoes - flip flops are recommended post spray

    please arrive with the appropriate attire if it is raining - sweatpants and a sweatshirt with a hood
    ( you will not develop evenly if you get wet from the rain )


  • spray tanning is generally considered safe during pregnancy

    bronzed has sprayed many expecting mamas to be, but every pregnancy and their accompanying risks are different. it is recommended that any concerns be addressed with your OBGYN.

    bronzed artisan is equipped with a state of the art extraction unit to alleviate overspray inhalation for both the client and airbrush artist.

    if you are a nursing mama - nursing pads can be provided to prevent the transfer of bronzers.

  • yes ! spray tans do not provide any sun/uv protection. you will burn or tan naturally depending on your skin type

    apply mineral based sunscreens ( zinc and titanium dioxide ) to protect your skin and the spray tan


  • it is a common concern, but not something to worry about at bronzed artisan.

    solution is custom blended - the appropriate darkness and color corrective bronzers based on your skin tone are selected and applied flawlessly to the skin.

  • bronzed artisan is located inside a private studio within phenix salon suites.

    • when you arrive, please text “here” to (917) 772-1053

    • wait to be buzzed in through the main entrance

    • once inside, head to the right and walk straight down the hall

    • you will find private suite 127 on the left


  • we understand that things come up - please review our policy for in studio appointments below :

    • a minimum of six hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment

    • changes made with less than six hours notice will result in a 50% charge of the scheduled service

    • no-call and no-shows will be charged 100% of the service


    this policy helps us respect everyone’s time and keep the schedule running smoothly.

    ON-SITE / MOBILE APPOINTMENTS :

    • twenty-four hours notice is required to make changes ( including same day modifications ) or to cancel your appointment

    • a hundred percent of the service will be charged if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled outside of the cancellation window ( including same day modification )

    • new clients will require pre payment - for on site appointments only


  • please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. a 5-minute grace period is offered for all clients.
    if you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled out of respect for our schedule and other clients.

  • a valid credit card is required to secure your appointment, but you will not be charged at the time of booking.

    payment will only be processed at the time of service, or in accordance with our cancellation and no-show policy if applicable.

    this helps us protect valuable appointment times and ensure smooth scheduling.

  • we want you to love your glow! if you have any concerns about your spray tan, please let us know as soon as possible.

    • any issues must be reported within 24 hours of your appointment for a complimentary correction.

    • corrections are offered at the discretion of the technician and are intended to address application concerns only

    • due to the nature of the service, no refunds will be issued.
